Background
Development Governance International Consult (DGI Consult) is a purpose-driven governance, institutional capacity-strengthening and research consulting firm. Strong belief in the centrality of evidence-driven governance systems, innovations, and leadership to solve development challenges across sectors forms the core of our company’s philosophy. Guided by this philosophy and driven by evidence for decision-making, DGI Consult delivers state-of-the-art technical assistance and program management through seasoned staff and a network of local and international consultants.
DGI Consult implements donor-funded projects in health financing, especially health financing analytics, including fiscal space analysis, health program costing, financial modelling and political economy analysis. DGI Consult supports State Social Health Insurance Schemes and other government agencies to strengthen the institutional and operational frameworks that prepare them towards achieving their mandates. The organization also provides technical support in the areas of human resources for health (HRH), health taxes and domestic resource mobilization for vertical disease programs, including integration of such programs into the benefits package of the health insurance schemes.
Due to program expansion, DGI Consult seeks program interns who will work under the tutelage of senior staff and consultants. The internship program will create a pool of potential program officers who could be engaged in providing technical assistance in the near future. While participation in the internship program does not necessarily guarantee employment with DGI Consult, the acquisition of knowledge and skills could be a career-defining opportunity. The internship is for a six-month period, and a monthly stipend will be paid throughout the duration.
