We are pleased to announce the publication of our paper titled “Transforming the Health System in Gombe State: Accomplishments, Challenges and the Next Frontier” in the Pan African Medical Journal

The paper documents the proceedings and key outcomes of the Maiden Gombe State Health Summit, highlighting the remarkable strides made in strengthening the health system in Gombe State towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC). It examines the state’s achievements in primary healthcare revitalization, health financing reforms, human resources for health, digital innovations, and multisectoral coordination, while also identifying persistent challenges and strategic priorities for the future.
