In the published commentary, the DGI Consult team examined the implications of US aid cuts and explored alternatives for sustainable financing for health. Considering the fiscal constraints and heavy debt burden in many LMICs, we called for a regional and international movement in support of the Debt-to-Health Swap (D2H) agenda. We also explore other underutilised funding sources like climate financing, while the need to promote efficiency was emphasised.
