We are pleased to announce that our health tax paper titled “Implementation Status of Health Tax Policies in Nigeria and their Alignment with Global Standards” has been published. The paper examines the design and implementation status of health taxes in Nigeria, their alignment with global standards and offer recommendations for effective health tax policy reforms and implementation.

The article is published at a time the SSB tax reform is gathering momentum at the National Assembly. We hope to further engage the lawmakers and policymakers to ensure that Nigeria’s health taxes reflect international standards and they are effectively implemented.
