DGI Consult through the TB LON3 supported the Ogun State Health Insurance Agency (OGSHIA) to promote its health insurance enrolment drive through informal sector engagement. The firm co-facilitated a workshop to engage the umbrella bodies of the informal sector groups in Ogun State on enrolment of their members into the Ogun State Health Insurance Scheme (OGSHIS). The workshop served the purpose of sensitizing the informal sector groups about the scheme and soliciting for their cooperation to use their platform to drive health insurance enrolment among their members. At the workshop, the role of the informal sector groups in the implementation of OGSHIS was established, and a course of action on effective informal sector engagements was charted. The high point of the workshop was the commitment of the leaders of the umbrella bodies to serve as proponents for the enrolment of members of their associations.
