DGI Consult team is pleased to announce our newly published article examining the implications of the recent local government autonomy for PHC reforms in Nigeria.
As Nigeria continues to pursue UHC, the evolving governance landscape presents both opportunities and risks for primary health care delivery. This study provides timely evidence to help policymakers, development partners, and health sector stakeholders better understand how local government autonomy can either strengthen or constrain PHC reforms and how to strategically harness its benefits while mitigating potential challenges.
The research draws on insights from over 250 respondents across 12 states and the national level. We sincerely appreciate all participants for their valuable contributions.
We extend our appreciations to all the authors and co-authors for their unwavering commitments towards the success of the research work. This study was made possible through funding support from USAID Nigeria, under the USAID HERON Project.
