The Nigeria UHC Forum, an assemblage of non-state actors championing the UHC cause in Nigeria, has developed a position paper on the health sector reform agenda of the current administration.
As part of participatory approach to policy design and implementation, the Honourable Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammed Ali Pate, had series of meetings with stakeholders on the NHSRIP to deepen their understanding on its content, solicit input and galvanize their buy-in for effective implementation. At one of the engagement meetings, the Nigeria UHC Forum assured the Honourable Minister that the Forum will develop a position on the government health policy reform agenda.
The position paper developed by the Nigeria UHC Forum articulates the opinion of the Forum on the content of the NHSRIP and highlights recommendations that will catalyse Nigeria health reform agenda and set the country UHC trajectory. The UHC Forum will further engage with the Honourable Minister and other stakeholders towards translating the recommendations highlighted in the position paper to action.
